Request A Test : Start Tests Described FAQ Glossary of Tests

Why should I request a test online?
Online registration was created for the convenience of our patients who would prefer to request their diagnostic and medical tests at SOCH on their own computer from the comfort of their homes. Patients who do not wish to request test scheduling online may still call SOCHConnect directly at 609-978-3400 to schedule their test.

What do I do if I can not fill out the forms online?
If for any reason you are unable to fill out the schedule request forms on line, you can print them from your computer, fill out the printed forms and fax them to SOCHConnect at 609-978-3420. Click here to bring up the form for printing. If you cannot print the form you can fax SOCH Connect a copy of your original prescription that your Doctor wrote for you along with your name and telephone number. SOCHConnect will call you upon receiving this information and continue the scheduling process with you over the phone.

Is my personal information secure?
Yes, all SOCHConnect patient information is kept on a secure server and available only to appropriate SOCHConnect and medical personnel.

Can I request to schedule more than one test on the SOCHConnect Website?
Yes, you can request to schedule as many tests as you need to. After you have completed the form for your first test just click the Schedule Another Test button and do this as many times as you need to request all you necessary tests.

What if I do not see the test I need in the Test List that is provided?
We have listed the tests that are ordered most frequently. However, if you don’t see the test that you need we have provided a place for you to write in a test. On the Request A Test section just fill in the blank text box below the pull down menu of tests and submit this information. SOCHConnect will call you to confirm the test that was requested and schedule your appointment.

What is Prep and Protocol Information and why is it important?
The prep information for your test will tell you all the things you need to do to prepare for your test before you come to the Hospital. The protocol for your test is the list of questions we will need to ask you before you schedule your test to make sure you can safely have the test performed.

Is SOCHConnect affiliated with Southern Ocean County Hospital?
Absolutely! SOCHConnect is located on the first floor of the Hospital and is the scheduling department for all Hospital services. This service can help coordinate your schedule for all your testing to make your testing experience more convenient and efficient.

Do I need to schedule even a blood test?
A Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT) requires scheduling. All other lab work does not require scheduling. If you have an order form from your doctor, you can just walk in to the lab registration area during regular lab hours listed below to have your blood test or a routine lab test.
